Cancelled appointments policy

A significant amount of valuable clinical time is wasted when an appointment is not attended; time which could otherwise have been allocated for the treatment of other patients.

CANCELLED appointments will not usually incur any charge. Cancellations with less notice are recorded as short notice cancellations. If it is not possible to keep an appointment please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer the appointment time to someone else.

FAILED private appointments will occur a charge, which needs to be settled before further appointments can be made.

If private appointments are repeatedly failed or cancelled at short notice we may ask for further appointments to be paid for in advance, where the full cost of the time allocated is paid on booking. In these cases the appointment fee would be charged whether or not you are able to attend.

Under NHS treatment regulations, we reserve the right to withdraw future treatment from patients who short notice cancel or fail to attend TWO appointments within a calendar year.

Patients wishing to reserve a slot with our Hygienist will be asked to leave a deposit. Deposits will be lost if appointments are missed or if appointments are cancelled with less than one weeks notice.
